This talk is about those ancestors who seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Annoyingly the family may have never discussed them, leaving the imagination to run wild. This talk covers some alternative ways of tracking relatives that may be scattered all over the world. As my examples will demonstrate, findings may be heartbreaking, inspiring or sometimes mildly amusing. Hopefully, the case study examples, will help and inspire people to shed a light on those old family mysteries.
