A look back at how Londoners have made use of their river even during the harshest of Winters. Contrary to popular belief, the Thames has only frozen solid on a small number of occasions, but it has allowed people to use it as a base for hosting fairs. The talk will look at the why, when and where, and explore some of the activities and events that have taken place. Even with an appearance from the Time Lord - The Doctor!
